How much free time.

If you compare the three countries, you can see that Slovak pupils have less free time than in Wales or Germany (which is top). This could be because in Germany, school finishes at 2:00 whereas it finishes much later in Wales (5:00). In Slovakia, a lot of the students have to travel a long way to get to or from school which may explain why they have the least free time.

What do they do in their free time

You can see that the schools are fairly similar however; there are some differences such as; very few Welsh students do housework, this could be because a lot of the students are borders so don’t have to clean their houses, this may also explain why so few Welsh students go out.

Enjoyment of Reading

The schools are very similar especially at the higher end of the scale (Germany and Wales have an average of 3.7, Slovakia has 3.5). There is a bit more of a spread for the German students as there are so few for 2 or 3 for Wales and Slovakia.

How many per year.

Again, the results are fairly similar, but there are more Welsh and German students who read more than 25 books per year. Most of the Slovak students are somewhere in the middle.

Friend groups

The Slovak pupils prefer smaller groups of friends whilst the Welsh pupils like medium friend group size better as well and the German pupils prefer having even larger groups of friends.

Things to do with friends

The Germans like Clubbing, because the Drinking age in Germany is 16 years.

The Slovak prefer doing sport and watching TV and going to the cinema. The Welsh pupils prefer studying and doing a bit of anything.

How easy it is to make friends

You can see that the German pupils find it harder to make new friends than the Slovak and Welsh students, with the Welsh students having the highest rating on average.
