There is a dining hall where most day and boarding pupils take lunch. Boarding pupils also take breakfast and dinner here. During morning break, snacks like sausage baps/sandwiches and toast are served here at an extra cost.

Though it is a fact that does not please some of the staff, many sixth formers use their "allowed into town during lunch time" privilege  to eat lunch outside of school. The students in lower school are not allowed to do this, so they always eat lunch in the dining hall at school.

The meals that are served in the dining hall vary greatly. Britain is a cosmopolitan nation and Britons as people have tastes for many types of foods from many different countries. One day on the menu is a curry, the next spaghetti, and the day after noodles. There is a great balance of nutrition and variety. However, if you do not feel like eating the main 'hot' dish, there is always the salad bar where you can grab a baguette with any of the fillings on offer. In addition to this, every meal comes as a main course and an optional desert such as cherry pie, chocolate cake, or jelly and ice cream.
